Google Assistant’s New Ambient Mode Can Now Make WhatsApp Audio & Video Calls

Google Assistant Support For WhatsApp Audio and Video Calls

Google Assistant is all set to get new updates. Soon users will be able to make WhatsApp video and voice calls using Google Assistant.

Earlier this week, at IFA 2019, Google made a series of announcements surrounding its new operating system, Android 10 and Google Assistant. 

It announced that an array of upgraded and new features would be added to Google Assistant. 

  • The first feature is known as Ambient mode. This will change the way information appears on the smart display. In a blog post, Google cited that this feature will help users to see notifications and reminders, control home devices, and start a playlist even from a locked screen.

Once you are done checking your reminders and notifications, the Ambient mode will transform your smartphone screen into a personalized digital photo frame that is linked to your photo gallery. 

In simple words, it means that whenever Google Assistant is not in use. Your smart screen will display a few memorable pictures from your photo gallery instead of showing a dull screen.  

As per Mountain view, a California based company. the Ambient mode will be available in upcoming Lenovo gadgets including Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab, Lenovo Smart Tab M8 HD and Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 phones.

  • Besides the Ambient mode, Google has also announced a few other noteworthy features. Users will now be able to use Google Assistant to make WhatsApp hands-free video and voice calls. All you need to do it say, “Hey Google, WhatsApp voice Sam.” Chris Turkstra, product management director at Google Assistant cited in one of the blog reports. 

It also stated that a whole new series of headphones would also be launched by Google assistant which includes: Bose NC700, Phillips PN505 and PH805, Harman Kardon FLY ANC, JBL LIVE300 TWS, Clear Flow II, and Halo and Sony WI-1000XM2 and WH-H910N.

Furthermore, it also added that multiple voice-activated soundbars and speakers would get Google Assistant. The list includes SEIKI Tough and Cigar, JBL Link Music, Konka G1, high fidelity Braun Audio LE01, LE02 and LE03, Phillips AW25 and TAPN805.

Google further announced that several new Android TVs would get Google Assistant including Sharp, JVC, Skyworth, Metz, Hisense, Sony, Vestel, Philips, Changhong, and many more.
