Google Duo Redesigned, Gets “New Call” Button in Place of Old Buttons
Google’s video calling application has got a new design recently. The company has focused on bringing a more conventional home screen to the application rather than the live preview. The new design can be seen with a “New Call” button instead of the old buttons.
Earlier the company has announced the news of a new design through its support forum post on the Google Duo help website. According to the website, this is one of the most requested additions to the application. Apart from this the post shared by Google states that the users will be able to access features that it will remove from the home screen.
The new design makes it easy for the user to perform day-to-day actions. To send messages Google Duo will have a separate option for contacts where the user can find the message button. Furthermore, to send messages to more than one person the user can create a group. For creating a group in Google Duo click on the ‘New Call’ button and then select the ‘Create Group Link’ option.

In the past months, Google has changed and updated its video calling platforms other than Google Duo. the platforms got new filters to make the platform more interactive. The Google Meet also got some amazing filters like cats, jellyfish, astronauts, and others.
Last week too the company released a new dedicated web app for Google Meet. The app is Progressive Web App (PWA) and is different from the standard application. The app is created for a better user experience. According to the company, the users can have a fast web experience. Every device irrespective of the operating system can easily use the Google Meet PWA. Even the latest Chrome OS will get the web app pre-installed and will not require any other video conferencing apps.
