WhatsApp Beta to soon add view-once, in-app notifications feature for iOS

WhatsApp is getting new updates where the users can easily send disappearing images and videos with a ‘view once’ tag, the new update even has the in-app notification. For the iOS devices, the update comes late but is worth it. Here is what all you need to know about the new features of the new WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Beta’s New Disappearing Photo and Video Features

The update’s information was shared on the official WABetaInfo site. The new ‘View Once’ features will soon be available for the iOS beta version. The company has recently launched the feature in the Android platform.

The WhatsApp v2.21.140.9 update for iOS will have new features. Using the new view once feature users can easily share video and images that will be deleted once the receiver has viewed it. This feature is similar to Instagram as there also users get the option to choose the life of the image. The receiver cannot save these images or videos to their mobile storage and it will not be opened again.

To prevent storing the image or video by screenshots or screen recording the company is working on it. But Unlike Snapchat which notifies when the image or video has been captured, here you will not witness any features like that. For all the Beta users the feature is available, while some of the users might not observe a new button as it is still developing.

WhatsApp Beta’s New In-App Notifications

WhatsApp notification has been updated many times earlier also but with this new update the users can see more data as compared to the earlier updates. Now the users will be able to see images, videos and GIFs too. The company in a post at WABetaInfo shared,  “The user can now expand the in-app notification in order to show the chat preview: the chat preview is not static like the one that appears when you peek on a chat cell, so the user can scroll up and down the view to see older and newer messages”.
