Android devices that run on version 2.3.7 or older will not be able to log in after September 27. Google recently made it clear that the device below 2.3.7 can face username or password errors while trying to sign in. The error will be shown in all Google products including Gmail, YouTube, and Maps.

“If your device has the ability to update to a newer Android version (3.0+), we advise you to do so in order to maintain access to Google apps and services on that device,” Google stated in an update.

The company further said, “As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our users safe, Google will no longer allow sign-in on Android devices that run Android 2.3.7 or lower starting September 27, 2021.”

It has been more than 10 years since Android version 2.3.7 has entered the market. According to the company after September 27 the users can face issues while signing in to all the Google products and rather than stating the problem they will receive an username or password error. Google advises, “You will be able to sign into your account with a newer Android version (3.0 or newer). If your device has the ability to update to a newer Android version (3.0+), we advise you to do so,”

For all the older versions, it is advised to use Google web browser to log in to the respectable products. Using the browser you can easily log in to your account. However, the most preferable method is to upgrade to version 3.0 or a newer version of Android.
